Our hotel is the cutest little thing I've seen. It's more like a large B&B. The rooms are so cute and the people are lovely. They'll be getting a great review on Trip Advisor. I was going to post photos of the room but they didn't come out so well.

We went for a wander around town and found a gondola up the hill. Not sure what 'gondola' is in German. You get seem great views from up there. You can walk up but looking at the road, I'm not sure how long it would take... Longer than we had to spare.

The old town has so much character. There are so many souvenir shops I had to contain myself, remembering that we still have a long way to go.

The highlight of the trip was the dinner. We went to a place called Rudesheimer Schloss, which is owned by winemaker Georg Breuer. The waitresses were wearing traditional dress, there was a live band, and some entertaining Norweigian workers on a celebration trip. The staff had 5 of them from each table line up to take a drink from 5 shot glasses stuck to a wooden bar. Only 1 person spilled it, which wasn't bad going considering they were all different heights. The band was fantastic and played some great music for dancing. Some couples got up and I got a sneaky picture of one couple who was burning up the dance floor. If it wasn't for our track pants, we would have been up there too. We're a but underdressed, which Justin will say is my fault. Didn't change the taste of my fantastic food and Auslese for dessert...

This was probably the biggest (and tastiest) piece of steak I've ever had.

Justin's fish was looking at me...

These are the waitresses, I couldn't quite get the skirt in.

These guys started off the dancing.
At least we get a bit of a sleep in tomorrow not having to rush of to catch an early train. More of the cute city to enjoy. It's just what I was looking forward too, and we have two nights in St Goar to enjoy too.
